Monling Lee is a Washington DC-based architectural and urban designer who started an Instagram account, @monlinglee, to casually capture colorful urban scenes in 2013. Over time, the series #COLORINDEX became a visual catalog that explores the intersection of style and the built environment through a highly saturated lens, where coherent color stories are told through vivid personal style photography directed in a signature color-blocked style. Monling has collaborated with local, national, and international fashion and lifestyle brands such as J.Crew, Coach, Timex, Stella Artois, Illy, PUBLIC Bikes, El Camino Travel, and Compass Realty.
